bilateral meeting with the Greek Forum of Migrants

[:en]On 7/11/2023 another bilateral meeting was held with the Greek Forum of Migrants in which we talked about the difficulties faced by women with a migrant and refugee profile.

We discussed what exactly the current legislative framework provides for migrant/refugee women victims of domestic and gender-based violence and furthermore, how victims can be informed about their rights through special actions and programmes.

Particular emphasis was given to the category of women who wish to work but find it difficult, either because they find legal obstacles or because they cannot leave their children with another caregiver.

We concluded that the multiple and intractable problems that women with a migrant and refugee profile face in their daily lives increases the need for actions that will contribute to their effective support.

This meeting took place in the framework of the bilateral meetings held through the implementation of the project “Strengthening the organizational and operational capacities of ANCE” , which is funded by the Active citizens fund with grant manager the Bodossaki Foundation and Solidarity Now.

Στις 7/11/2023 πραγματοποιήθηκε άλλη μια διμερή συνάντηση με το Greek Forum of Migrants – Ελληνικό Φόρουμ Μεταναστών στην οποία μιλήσαμε για τις δυσκολίες που αντιμετωπίζουν οι γυναίκες με μεταναστευτικό και προσφυγικό προφίλ.
Συζητήσαμε τι ακριβώς προβλέπει το ισχύον νομοθετικό πλαίσιο για τις μετανάστριες/προσφύγισσες θύματα ενδοοικογενειακής και έμφυλης βίας και επιπλέον, πως τα θύματα μπορεί μπορούν να ενημερωθούν για τα δικαιώματά τους μέσα από ειδικές δράσεις και προγράμματα.
Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δόθηκε στην κατηγορία γυναικών που επιθυμεί να εργαστεί αλλά δυσκολεύεται, είτε επειδή βρίσκει νομικά εμπόδια είτε επειδή δεν έχει τη δυνατότητα να αφήσει τα παιδιά τους σε έναν άλλον φροντιστή.
Καταλήξαμε ότι τα πολλαπλά και δυσεπίλυτα προβλήματα που αντιμετωπίζουν γυναίκες με μεταναστευτικό και προσφυγικό προφίλ στην καθημερινότητάς τους, αυξάνει την ανάγκη για δράσεις που θα συμβάλουν στην ουσιαστική τους στήριξη.
Η συνάντηση αυτή πραγματοποιήθηκε στο πλαίσιο των διμερών συναντήσεων που πραγματοποιούνται μέσω της υλοποίησης του έργου «Ενίσχυση των οργανωτικών και επιχειρησιακών ικανοτήτων της ANCE» , το οποίο χρηματοδοτείται από το Active citizens fund με διαχειριστή επιχορήγησης το Ίδρυμα Μποδοσάκη και το Solidarity Now.
